About the event
AI is here and it’s extremely useful to fiction writers—if used properly and effectively. Throughout this workshop, we’ll discuss the responsible use of AI tools to facilitate research and Immerse readers in your stories with the right balance of accuracy and creative license. Fiction writers must research everything from setting to culture, character occupations to available (or adjacent possible) technology, and language to lifestyle. And God forbid you get your guns wrong. In this workshop we'll cover how to identify research needs, where to search for the information, how to evaluate sources, strategies for organizing that research, and techniques for seamlessly weaving that information into your narrative.
Tammy Euliano’s writing is inspired by her day job as a physician, researcher and educator at University of Florida. She’s received numerous teaching awards, ~100,000 views of her YouTube teaching videos, and was featured in a calendar of women inventors. In addition to award-winning short fiction, she writes medical thrillers including Fatal Intent (2021) and Misfire (2023) published by Oceanview. Kathy Reichs called it, “Medical suspense as sharp as it gets.”
