Every story has a starting point. To pull readers into your fictional world, it has to be the right starting point. Before you can hook readers, the events that launch the story must hook your characters, pull them out of the everyday, and convince them to step beyond their normal lives into the adventure that awaits. We’ll talk about inciting incidents, the story world, and how characters answer the call to adventure.
