She is a member of International Thriller Writers, and is the director of ITW’s QueryFest Program at their annual ThrillerFest conference. She is also Assistant Editor for ITW’s entertainment website, The Big Thrill, and for their educational website, Write2Thrill. She is the Managing Editor of the Outilers Writing University Newsletter.

Magen Mintchev started her bookstagram account on Instagram four years ago under the name "bonechillingbooks." She also began her social media management agency, Social with Magen, last October after spending nearly 20 years in Marketing Communications for various tech companies, banks, and newspapers. She now works with multiple brands, including authors, C-suite executives, skincare professionals, and others. She was born in Maine and lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her husband and two sons.
