About the event

Discover how to transform your setting from mere backdrop into a dynamic, breathing character that shapes your protagonists, drives conflict, and deepens theme. You’ll learn techniques for infusing places with personality so that environments actively influence plot, reveal character psychology, and create unforgettable atmosphere. We’ll explore sensory specificity, symbolic layering, and “setting as antagonist/ally” in order to elevate your own WIP, plus tools to avoid info-dumps while making your world feel alive and integral to every scene. By the end, you’ll leave with concrete ideas that make your story’s locations as compelling and unpredictable as any character on the page.

📣 You can register for this individual class, or you can join Outliers to unlock access to this and all upcoming classes!
